From one of my friend's blog, the one i revere as one of the best blogs i have seen so far, the breathtaking pictures and the visuals. This particular post was quite inspirational and thought provoking, such that i felt that it was worth sharing with people.

--------------------------------------

Let’s just say i’m disappointed with my results, and the worst part about it wasn’t really about not making the cut to this and that place, it’s about falling short. I’m not crushed yet, which is good. I just need a little more time to soak it all in. And i’m thankful for the friends i’ve exchanged messages and phone calls with amid the initial ruined state i was in, you were very encouraging.

These days are like checkpoints in life. I can’t rest the thought of the course of our lives being altered in a single moment that last minutes long. Life-changing moment indeed. Well of course we’ve worked our asses off to make sure we make good of this moment, and that the imminent change is for the better and not for the worse. But like they say, shit happens. Well, what can we do when the skies choose to rain on us? We soldier on. Umbrellas, raincoats, goretex jackets even! Never ever had to face disappointment to this extent, maybe because i’ve never set lofty goals for myself until this time round, but what’s done is done. I’ve learnt how to take things in my stride already.

Coming from the institutions like me and my peers have, i think people(including many of us) very easily lead this factory-made life, because we’ve for so long succumbed to academic pressures and external expectations of us. Frankly, i believe our lives do revolve around our academic performance to a large part, and it’s most easy to associate us to this brand of life. Yet, many of us are beyond this. We’re more than that. We’re more than filling in our parents’ giant shoe of expectations. We’re more than just mass-produced economic slaves (and maybe conscsripted soldiers for the guys) for our damned country. We’re more than that. And i’m writing this not because i’ve not aced my exams, but because i’m sick of the system, having gone through it like i did. It’s cold and stifling, and at the end of the day, to conform and we may have nice bank accounts to boast of, but we’re mere empty-hearted byproducts of the fucking system.
I say, go out and seize the day. Go do what you’ve always wanted to do, even it means just getting that new dress or another pair of sneakers. I can’t say that for myself(but i will, in time), because my time is not mine, but you can.

I’m coming off this malfunctioning treadmill.

All i need now is to hit the road, in time.

In time.

----------------------------

How many people nowadays go after what they wish for and their ideals? However we conform to the needs of this society, for this society thrives under a cruel system.

Whoever crosses the finish line first survives.

Survival of the fittest. How many do actually lead a life they wanted?
