Sea Soldier.

Changi Defence Squadron.

What a week. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. Ever thought army could be so tough? Wrong i mean, we are the navy, TOTALLY NOT RELATED TO THE ARMY.

Such to the extent that we are being hantamed if we are caught wearing any clothing with the word ARMY on it. you must be wondering omg, so hiong? Well you havent heard abt the regimentation yet.

Looks like what the forum said was partly true, as the things we do. The pt hasnt come yet, so it has been quite okay. But the stand by bed, omg.

Toiletries section can only have a mug, toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver. That big big section of the corner can only have this. AND. The items between each other, and the edges of the cupboard must be 4 fingers apart. OMG. I totally 5 seconds stunned at it, I mean the 4 fingers apart was okay, but the really stupid wastage of space in that section really damn ridiculous. And the section of the cupboard used to put our personal belongings (supposed to cover with orange cloth) has been converted to the bathing equipment.

STRICTLY ONLY (in order of arrangement), Shampoo, soap, facial wash. They use 2 corners just to put this few things. And if u dont have facial wash, you have to get one. omg.

Regimentation wise, first day i really felt super sad. I never felt so sad before, i sumpa kanina chaolanpa. My heart was like sinking. I really felt like crying, and i could the minute i wanted myself to. That was the extent.

I mean, first day of the course, all the sergeants were shouting and barking at us already. There were no smiles at all. One simple mistake of not sedia-ing properly kena fucked alr. From the CSM down, omg, really, every minute we kena fucked in the ears. It really makes ur morale very low, till the extent i wonder, what the fuck, life is a dog.

The subsequent days were much better. Sergeants still fucked us regularly, except that now they explain that if we do things right one time, they wont fuck us. Point taken. Some people just couldnt march properly, see already also wanna bash them after the end of the march cos sure kena pump.

For ur info, our lecture room and bunk is not like tekong. We have to march at least, i repeat AT LEAST 2km back and fro, 90-45, with SBO. Totally shag to maintain okay. Lets multiply the distance we walk from orion to ferry terminal multiply by around 8.

The only good thing is, we get to see the warships harboured at the base. And hell ya, thats whats worth all the shagness. THE WARSHIPS ARE SUPER NICE AND COOL. breathtaking. 2nd good thing is navy food is really good, ranging from kway chap to yong tau foo. cool. And there is night snack EVERYDAY. So for hungry stomachs its really important.

And our csm had never smiled since the first day, imagine that.

At least during the technical handling of the SAW, the mood was lighter and people managed a smile. Even during the breaks, some sergeant will come by and ask if anybody feel like shit, almost the whole platoon will raise up their hands.

Actually, as much as we pity ourselves, but when we see the SWO fucking the platoon sergeant and CSM in front of us, we cant help to pity them as well. I understand their rationale of fucking us from the first time i saw.

Rather the SWO fuck us, who works under a really old school no-nonsense soldier, they would fuck us. They have to do their job properly, under no choice.

What the platoon sergeant said was quite motivating, inspiring yet the truth of army yet.

I cant imagine at this point of time, still got people will have parents go and call coy office and ask what time they book out. Like wtf, cant you people just settle ur own stuff alr, so big alr, what time book out still must report to ur parents meh. Cannot go home urself must have parents fetch meh wtf. I couldnt believe it as well. At least i think my parents think i am independent enuff to work on my own outside. No wonder kena fucked by PS.

"we are running a military, not a childcare centre. Stop being babies having to rely on ur parents everytime. If ur morale is low, fucking pick yourself up. This is the army, you are a fucking soldier, you pick yourself up, not cry and whine. We are not here to serve you, we are here to train you. Tekong was a joke, welcome to sea soldier."

True, and it was a wake up call. Think army gets you out of comfort zone and makes you emo? Navy will turn you cold blooded. Seriously. After all war is fought on blood and sweat, not on tears and fear.

No one hardly smiles there. Well except that we poked fun of sum guy whom I say, is abit abit weird, I mean, which guy will intro himself and said his interest is cosplay?! Totally disgust.

Life is as hard as it can be, waking up at 430 everyday. Starch uniform and iron uniform, starch jockey cap and iron jockey cap, kiwi and polish jockey cap, cif and wash pt shoes. Routine, and more mundane.

Emo? Certainly. An empty shell? More of it. Sucidal thoughts? (when ask by my sect comd) Currently not. (I replied to him, he was like wtf you do when i declared i broke my arm 3 times)

The current me, lifeless. Even clubbing wont bring me back i think.

I nearly cried when i heard this song, yes old song, but yet so meaningful. Now off to get the items from army market. If not kena fucked again.

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We'd see the day when nobody died

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

Singing Amen I'm alive
Singing Amen I'm alive no more
