Pardon me, but my desire to blog has not faded. Especially after this few days. I wanted to blog later, but danny just called me saying that theres mahjong later. So i have to finish blogging before my emotions run wild within me.

Anyhow, last weekend was fun-filled. It was SMU open house first with edwin, janice and johnny. WHOA, we all wore green tops, and we certainly caught alot of attention from the public. Of course, people will look at you and think,

'hey what is these green guys walking around with one of the top scorers of SA (janice had 5 As damn)'

Hahaha. We were soon into the school of business talk. Janice was quite sian of the prof, and i kept bugging her that THAT is her potential prof, she better like him now. haha. We then went for social sciences talk at SMU, i shall comment on it later on. Then we went for accountancy talk. Saw alot of familiar people, and of course my post-all-time-favourite-person-and-i-shall-blog-more-abt-it-later-and-if-u-understand-then-good-for-you.

We were soon bored of the accountancy talk and hurried off halfway to the last NTU shuttle bus. Of course catching alot of attention again, cos 4 green shirts headed for the exit one by one haha. Then jeffrey tan msged me.

'Eh why u zao from the accountancy talk?'

'What the, you are there? With who' (me)

'My army friend, I saw wilson tham also'

'orrh, then which school you want to go' (me)

'BMTC SCH 1'

I of course refused to reply that guai lan kia. Anyway, we headed down to NTU, and looked around at the open house also. After the day, i came into several conclusions for myself. I am not going to repeat it twice, so grab a pen and copy it down! (dont be stupid, just read and analyse what i say instead)

SMU CONS

--> My grades AADED, according to my cousin whom asked his SMU friend, is able to get into the school of business or economics PROVIDED i do well in the essay or interview. There is another problem involved, cos i didnt do well for my GP, and I didnt take SAT, AND i got no chance of taking SAT cos the next one is in MAY, while i am in tekong wondering if my bed got anybody sitting on it at nite while i am sleeping. There is a possibility i might need to take the compulsory course of academic writing, and i totally dont want to touch GP anymore man.

2nd problem, they have expensive tuition fees. Dont be misleaded by the word tuition, i fell for it cos i thot really tuition fees. Until tuition teacher willie told me its school fees, na bei school fees then school fees la, tuition fees.

3rd problem, SMU is highly competitive and i have heard lots trying to get in. I dont know how am I going to fight off all these competition. Plus, SMU got no school life, as you can see everything is really very formal there. U study, go home sleep, next day study again. AGAIN SUPPOSEDLY, I went to NTU and i heard from the guide, hu was from SA, and now in NTU biz, saying that her friends in SMU !!PAY!! to join CCAs, becos most of their CCAs are externalised. What the lanjiao, need to pay tuition fee alr, still need to pay CCA fee.

SMU pros

--> From the way the students speak, you are convinced by the statistics that 100% of their students are employed after graduation because they are really confident and eloquent. Cousin eric said that SMU's teaching style is different, and he has seen how SMU students do things, and he is quite impressed with them.

Secondly, SMU is located in dhoby ghaut, which means transportation wise I would not be bothered as it is just NEL down. As compared to NTU, once i head down there, you can call me boon lay instead of boon liang, because the ride is so long, i might forget my own name after that. THEN STILL NEED TO TAKE BUS IN FROM BOON LAY OMG. I live in freaking hougang please.

Thirdly, of course it would be good to be there cos alot of my friends are trying to get in there, and its always good to see familiar people around.

Now to NTU

NTU cons

--> On the bus, i immediately could differentiate from an NTU student from an SMU student. The way they speak hahahaha, NTU stammers once in awhile, with a few added 'lors, lahz, lehx', while SMU is really fluent. That is one difference you could tell.

Of course as mentioned, it is freaking far. My name might change to boon keng after the ride. Wait, was my name initially boon lay, or boon what. I forget alr.

If i join NTU, i might stay in hostel. But one month $160-$200, not that cheap eh. I spare a thought for my aging father, dont want to put more stress of his CPF account. EH wait, he just went china with his ex-primary sch classmates to enjoy, leaving me to work like a slave4you. KNN.

Also, by getting into NTU, i will try the 3 years direct honours course for either accountancy OR business. However, according to the guide, its rigorous work and they look at your GPA EVERY SEMESTER. And you have to get an average of 4. You know A is 5, B is 3.5 and so on. SO WHAT THE HELL! Its a shiong course, cos accordingly, they teach some stuff in one semester while other unis use 2 semesters.

NTU Pros

--> If i get into NTU, i would try out accountancy or Biz, and accordingly to the course, theirs is a 3 years direct honours course. If u happen to dont know what is that, it means you grad with honours instead of normal bachelors. The title honours grants you more pay during job offers, according to cousin eric. AND, 3 years as compared to SMU accountancy which is 4 years (and i dont know whether got honours also), you get to the working society one year earlier than my male peers. You know, time is really precious for guys, cos 2 years is wasted for NS. I need to start working now, and earn really enough money to buy a diamond bigger than the one on my left ear so that i might get a wife if i propose to my gf. Eh fuck you stop laughing. I will get a vietnamese one.

OKAY! omg i have to type this down. While on the bus, the guide told us that hostel life is REALLY EXCITING. I mean i have seen my spectrum seniors everyday play mahjong haha. The guide told us that his friends, (LISTEN TO THIS!), whom are single, after they joined ntu and stayed in hostel, they all got attached after the first year. (eh law, what happened to you)

IT SOUNDS AS NICE AS A JAY CHOU SONG.

Omg haha, no la, i aint that desperate. (shuddup i know u aint agreeing) but do they have to tell us this to try and attract us to NTU?! hahaha. But u cant help to agree that they do have school life, after all, night suppers? cycling? stuff like that makes you want to go NTU. Not mentioning that i have tried their food, and its damn damn damn nice. And its as cheap as my alevel results if i try to sell it to someone else.

END OF ANALYSIS

Willie tay said yesterday that NTU is lying wth. He say NTU cannot be top 3. He says NUS biz is so so so so good. I mean if i didnt hear NTU's story/lies, all along i thot NUS biz is damn good cos its very established. I have heard that people whom cant make it to NUS law will head over to NUS business. And i forget i heard this piece of info from whom, but NUS biz is good becos its alumni is big. WAIT LA, dont slap me yet for this lame reason becos i havent finish typing.

It makes sense too, cos supposedly, due to the big alumni, it is easy to get links and for biz, everyone knows how important links are to make one successful in this path.

Of course, willie tay grad'ed from NUS, so he is an NUS patriot. I wondered if he got rejected by NTU last time so he is so bent on NUS. Anyway, he wants me to go NTU cos i am a cheenapok. WTH?! There is a fine line between being a cheenapok and bilingual. YES I AM A BILINGUAL SCHOLAR, everybody hu grads from cath high is, cos the school pledge says so.

SO in conclusion, i havent started applying yet. BUT! I might be putting NTU biz as first choice, then SMU sch of econs second, NTU accountancy 3rd, and maybe NUS biz after that. Following on might just be some maths related courses from NTU. I am still waiting to check out NUS open house. If the guide at NUS tells me that hostel life is more exciting, and you get laid after your first year 100% guaranteed, i sure put all my choices NUS from the first to the last.

EH KIDDING. But i will advise everyone to put all 3unis in their choices. This is diversification, just in case you dont get into the course you want and then stranded in nowhere.

------------------------------------------------

And so it was over. U can actually listen to my blog song. Its a Dreamz FM song again. And wow, how talented they are really. I like their lyrics, and its really a song out there for all whom ended any relationship, in a nice and clean way of course, when both parties are still really good friends. After i listened alr, i felt very relaxed. I felt peace basically. Nothing else matters more than that.

Its a chinese song. But well, i am a bilingual scholar, i can translate the song to english. Just some parts i want to dedicate to myself. you especially

'Memories in the past had its fair share of happiness and pain.
It is inevitable that I would feel a sense of pity.
But i am not going to wallow myself in tears and cling on to it like a fool.
And it is so, I am able to give myself a carefree life.

The sky has never felt so broad, and the sun has never felt so warm.
Freedom and peace, only given when you are alone.

And so I start all over again.
Yes there are times at night when i feel lonely again, but I still have that happy memory of yours. On colder days, i might even start to think about you.

However,

You leaving my life was the best solution after all.'

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I need to enjoy as much as I can before I look like a grasshopper and befriend the grasshoppers around me. One month counting down.
